Vanessa Garcia was born and raised in the inner city of south Los Angeles, California. She is the oldest of five children from 1st generation mexican american parents. Raised in a family of seven, Vanessa attended Paris-Sorbonne University with an empahsis in art History, and UCLA studying Entertainment and performing arts. After working on the production side of the business in the last couple years in shows like Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, she returned to her first love artistry.
Vanessa quickly established a repertoire with colleagues in the entertainment industry. Vanessa's work can be seen in the offices and homes of Diane Von Furstenberg, John Ridley, and Brian Grazer.
Vanessa had her first real opportunity to display her artistic talents with the collaboration of world renowned artist Domingo Zapata in Avi贸n del alma. Domingo remains a huge influence and mentor with Vanessas work and style in neo-expressionism. Vanessa's art is a style of late-modernist or early-postmodern painting and sculpture that emerged in the late 1970s.
Vanessa's goal with her artwork is to create an atmosphere of love and happiness with the vivacious colors she uses in her paintings.
